I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit.

Even as young as eleven I was holding stalls at local fetes selling my arts and crafts - back in the days when potpourri and handmade padded photo frames were all the rage. It matched my perm at the time just beautifully!

Skip ahead to when I was twenty three and I opened my first business. I purchased a pre-existing business with four staff, no customers and no business sense. HOWEVER I LEARNED THE HARD WAY! Through tenacity and resilience I managed to build up that business and sold it a few years later for over twice what I had originally paid for it. Then the next stage of my life took hold when I became pregnant with my first child. Not wanting to sit still, I then worked from home on our winery business and managed to keep busy having my second and third children.

In 2009 I started up my next venture from my home. Within a year I had grown that business and moved into a beautiful commercial space, recruiting and mentoring over ten staff. During these years I received multiple awards and was featured in magazines such as Marie Claire and Harpers Bazaar. I also worked with many celebrities and entrepreneurs in TV and magazines and was flown in to work on Fashion Shows such as the annual David Jones Fashion Parades with the likes of Megan Gale and Miranda Kerr. Being socially conscious, I was humbled in receiving business awards for environmental sustainability. I certainly was sent on a steep learning curb with the demands of managing an expanding business that was sky rocketing upwards. In that time I learnt something that changed the way I approached my professional life. It became clear there was a big difference from owning a job to owning a business. I learnt to become a real leader and entrepreneur, setting an amazing culture in which I was then able to go off and explore the world.

That business allowed and supported me to travel overseas and then my life took a massive change!!

As my happiness levels and quest to find more meaning and purpose in my life I decided to really shake things up and challenge myself. Owning a winery and living in the beautiful Barossa Valley, food is a big part of our lives so I decided to apply for Masterchef. Whilst travelling through Spain and Morocco with my family, I was selected to trial for Masterchef Australia in 2014. I made it through their tests and before I knew if I was packing my bags and moving off to Melbourne. I was away from my family and my business for six months, which was extremely challenging. I was amazed that I made it all the way to the finals and the Top 5. The funny thing was, as much as I had this amazing and extreme, surreal ride of Masterchef, that stretched me, taught me so much about myself, my strengths, my weaknesses and my vulnerabilities; I was more proud of the fact that whilst away, MY BUSINESS NEVER MISSED A BEAT.  When I finished Masterchef, all of my beautiful staff looked after our amazing clients, which at the end of the day resulted in the same revenue just minus one thing - me. I had essentially rendered myself redundant from my own business, which allowed me to take it to the next level.

This lead me to opening my restaurant Harvest Kitchen, which has been an absolute smash hit.

In its first year, Harvest Kitchen won the Best New Regional Restaurant in the 2016 Restaurant and Catering Awards for excellence. Due to the success of this business I soon found myself with 30 staff and we had to rent an additional kitchen to cater to the amount of people that were flooding through the doors. Over this journey I have had truly enjoyed mentoring many great team members.

Since Masterchef I have been asked to speak to many business and leadership groups. This has lead to me being asked to coach, mentor, consult and counsel on many occasions. This beautiful, natural, organic progression has lead me to be right here where I am today. That is to help others find meaning and purpose in their lives, to inspire, motivate and facilitate massive changes personally and professionally and to live life with a sense of conscious intention, purpose and alignment. I also want to share the things that have continually and consistently worked for me over the years in business and in life and to share the things that I have learnt often through both success and mistakes. To empower others to make the shifts that allows them to be the best version of themselves.
